5SOS reveal what fans should pay attention to on their new album

Pop-punk hitmakers 5 Seconds Of Summer will unleash their highly anticipated new album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' on October 23 and the boys have revealed what they want fans to get out of it.

Frontman Luke Hemmings told MTV News that they're really excited about this release: "What we want to do with 'Sounds Good Feels Good' is, I think, to put it quite simply is to just write the best songs that we can."

Ashton Irwin added: "It's important to us lyrically that this album is an evolution compared to the last album. We're really proud of the songwriting on this album. We really want our fans to pay attention to the lyrical content."

Bass player Calum Hood then went onto talk about their new music video for 'Hey Everybody!', adding: "I think it's the best video we've made to date. It's pretty stupid at first glance, but it's got a deeper message behind it just like the song does."

Earlier this week, the band told Zoomin.TV that this new record is a real evolution from their debut offering: "Fans can expect an evolution of the last album... obviously we've grown as people so naturally perspectives on our lives and concepts have changed slightly."
