5SOS on inspiration behind album name 'Sounds Good Feels Good'

5 Seconds of Summer have revealed how they came to name their new album.

The Australian group released their second record 'Sounds Good Feels Good' on Friday (October 23).

Speaking to ABC Radio, singer and guitarist Luke Hemmings said the title came from an off-the-cuff remark he said during recording.

He revealed: "I think we were recording a song and I think it was in the booth and I think I said, 'Sounds good, feels good' or something, or someone said it, and then I said it on the actual recording.

"And then we just thought it was cool. You know, it’s a cool story as well!"

Speaking about the themes running through 'Sounds Good Feels Good', Hemmings added:

"You know the first album...I loved the first album but we didn’t have that much life experience at that point.

"So I think this one...you know, we’ve been through some stuff and I think we’ve kind of dealt with a few things. I think it comes out in this album and it’s more personal. I think…people will respond to that."

The record follows up 5 Seconds of Summer's 2014 self-titled debut album.
