5SOS on album: 'Writing an anti-suicide anthem was important'

Aussie pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer unleashed their second album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' recently and guitarist Michael Clifford has opened up about the offering's lyrical content.

Speaking to ABC Radio this week, heartthrob Clifford explained that the topics dealt with on this new record are incredibly important to all of them:

"You know the first album…I loved the first album but we didn't have that much life experience at that point. So I think this one…you know, we've been through some stuff and I think we've kind of dealt with a few things. I think it comes out in this album and it's more personal. I think…people will respond to that."

"It was like a real release to write about some of the stuff that we have. And especially to get into talking about topics like...there's an anti-suicide anthem, you know. It talks about loneliness and stuff like
that. That was something that we didn't get to explore on the last album, but you know, it's really important to us on this album."
