5SOS: 'We want to be honest with fans about the way we feel'

5 Seconds of Summer say they don't want to "bullsh*t" their fans into thinking their busy lives are always without struggle.

The band are currently on a packed schedule as they promote new album 'Sounds Good Feels Good'.

The Australian quartet haven't been shy previously of talking about the stress associated with life on the road, with guitarist Michael Clifford revealing he had psychiatrist sessions.

Speaking to Sugarscape at the weekend, drummer Ashton Irwin said their primary goal is to be honest with their fans.

He said: "It's important to talk about those things, because we're going to be on tour for a long time and for us to be honest with our fans is a key point of being in this band.

"We want to be honest about how we feel and we don't want to bullsh*t them."

Michael Clifford added that they can often come across as "delirious" when meeting fans as they have been "working non-stop".

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile will return to the road next year on their world Sounds Live Feels Live tour.
