Aussie band 5 Seconds Of Summer stopped for a chat with Entertainment Tonight at the AMAs over the weekend and talked about the collective crush they have on Selena Gomez. 

Guitarist Michael Clifford joked that he and the other 5SOS lads are worried that Bieber probably hates them for crushing on his ex-girlfriend: "We think that Justin Bieber actually hates us and we’re actually worried that it’s because of this strange rumor. I just wanna be friends with Justin Bieber."

Drummer Ashton Irwin added to ET Online that there is no real tension between them and said that they want to dispel any awkwardness: "We want to cut the beef - we want to slice it into thin-cut beef."

During the interview, the lads were also asked about the most 'jet black heart' thing that has ever been done to them and Irwin came up with the goods, revealing that a girl once let down his tyres: "One time a woman popped all my tyres... yeah, it's not nice."
