5SOS: 'We won't be able to process all of this until we're around 40'

'She's Kinda Hot' pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer have enjoyed incredible success internationally over the last year and the lads have revealed that it still hasn't truly sunken in.

Speaking to press at the American Music Awards over the weekend, drummer Ashton Irwin confessed that they'll probably hit 40 and suddenly realise the magnitude of what they achieved together:

"No. I always say to Luke I don't think we'll be able to process what's happening to our band until we're like 40. We just work hard. We work as hard as we can, we don't sleep in too much, and we just get stuff done. We try to see as many people as we can, we try and write great music, and we try and make our performances as good as they can be. Those are the main things this band focuses on."

Earlier today (November 26), meanwhile, the heartthrobs announced details of a small 3-date Australian tour that will happen next fall. They'll play live on Thursday, September 29 in Melbourne, Sunday, October 2 in Brisbane, and Tuesday, October 4 in Sydney.
