5 Seconds of Summer star Michael Clifford has expressed his love of Shawn Mendes' latest single.

The singer is currently No.1 in the UK with his effort 'Stitches'.

It seems Clifford is a big fan of the track, with the guitarist writing on Twitter on Sunday (January 24):

"I wonder if @ShawnMendes walks around singing stitches all day as much as I do.... sigh."

Mendes responded by tweeting Clifford back saying "hahahah" alongside some love hearts.

The song features on the Canadian's 2015 debut album 'Handwritten'.

It managed to break a 12-week run from Justin Bieber at the top of the UK singles chart on Friday (January 22).
