5SOS still due to play Indonesia this week despite earthquake

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the west coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra today (March 2), killing civilians and causing Tsunami warnings for Australia's Cocos and Christmas Islands.

The aftershock reached Singapore where 5 Seconds of Summer are due to play the Star Theatre tomorrow (March 3).

The band are also scheduled to play a concert at the Indonesia Convention Exhibtion in Jakarta on March 5.

On March 12, they return to the area with a concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Phllippines.

Australia's Bureau of Meteorology advised people 'to get out of the water and move away from the immediate water's edge.'

In 2004, an 8.9 magnitude earthquake triggered the world's deadliest ever tsunami, killing more than 200,000 people.

Five Seconds of Summer started the Asian leg of their 'Sounds Live Feels Live' tour last month (February). They have played China and Taiwan and are due to play Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Phllippines and then hit Europe.
