5SOS on performing live: 'It's not just about us playing songs'

Aussie pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently in the UK on their extensive Sounds Live Feels Live tour, and the lads have opened up about how they go about creating new live shows.

The group's drummer, Ashton Irwin, told BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw this morning (April 8) that they want to make each concert the best one yet and look for ways to connect with their audiences as well as how to make the gigs entertaining and immersive:

"We're super inspired by old-school rock bands and stuff. We pay a lot of attention to bands like Queen, but we're very interactive live. It's not just about us playing songs, it's how can we get you guys in on the jams as well."

You can catch 5SOS live at London's O2 Arena in Greenwich both tonight and tomorrow evening, before they move onto Brighton, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Belfast and Glasgow.
