'She's Kinda Hot' heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have been working hard on new music while on the road for their Sounds Live Feels Live tour, and the band have given followers an update on the progress they have made. 

Last night, frontman Luke Hemmings told his followers that the new material is so far along that they were able to run through a few of their new songs during Amsterdam's soundcheck: "Just rehearsed some new songs at soundcheck, sounding geeeewd."

As previously reported, 5SOS's Ashton Irwin recently told a fan on Twitter that the band's LA home base is purely because they need a space to write new music whenever they get the chance: "Gotta work on new songs whenever we get the chance in between the 100 date tour this year."

In a mailing list update this week, the lads told their 5SOSFam that the new songs won't be unveiled to the public in the near future: "We also just started our European tour and been writing some cool new music for you guys to listen to, but not for a while. (Unless someone leaks it.) (As usual.)"
