5SOS's Michael: 'There's a lot of s**t happening in the world right now'

Aussie rockers 5 Seconds Of Summer performed at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey last night (July 10) and guitarist Michael Clifford took a minute before they played 'Vapor' to talk about love.

The heartthrob addressed the crowd and explained that the world has seen some horrific events lately, but they wanted to "celebrate love" by playing a song in the spirit of it:

"The message I want to get across really quick... then I'll shut up... There's a lot of s*** happening in the world right now that's pretty f***ed up [...] The next song we play is about love. People write songs because they want to appreciate love and I think we should celebrate love tonight."

5SOS, meanwhile, will officially unveil their new single 'Girls Talk Boys', which features on the 'Ghostbusters' soundtrack, on July 15 and recently told Daily Mail Australia that it will reveal to fans the direction their new sound is heading: "The song is just fantastic and it also fits in with where the band’s sound is going. We are so excited for the fans to hear our new direction of music."
