Speaking to celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, the 'Firework' songstress explained that she really wants to learn "how to live off the land" and intends to get back to nature in 2012:

"I need to breathe a bit and, for me, when I write good songs, it's because I've experienced something. So I really need to take a little bit of time to experience a little bit more so I have better material."

She has been ploughing through dates on her extensive California Dreams Tour for months now and it's not due to end until January 22 so her hiatus won't happen until after Christmas. 

"I wanna travel a little bit and that sounds crazy (after a tour), but really, I wanna travel in my own way. Maybe... the early part of next year, I'm going to go on a wilderness trek, where it's basically like surviving without anything, learning how to make fire, learning how to live off the land, from nature," She added. "I'm really excited to learn how to make fire, if I ever have to go to a party and somebody needs a light! I'm excited to learn how to make fire with my bare hands, if I can."

The talented hitmaker sent a message to his 1.2 million followers on social networking site Twitter late last night, December 14, which granted access to a 30 second clip of the fantastic track and has since reposted a link to the snippet. 

Writing about the release date of the song, Lambert revealed: "'Better Than I Know Myself' drops on December 20th! avail on all digital music providers. Happy Holidays!!"

In addition to this, Lambert has also unveiled the official artwork for the single. 

Responses to the preview have so far been incredible, with fans telling him the new offering is "awesome" and instantly addictive. 

The teen heartthrobs have enjoyed incredible success over the past few months and it looks set to continue into the new year as their 2012 photo calendar has been outselling Cheryl Cole and is currently 181% more popular than JLS.

The 'Poison' superstar, who is a good friend of the 'Marry The Night' hitmaker, told the NME that picking out a gift for a person like Gaga is tough but he thinks he has found a couple of things she would love:

"I know Lady Gaga really well. And for Christmas I'd get her a Betty Crocker cookbook. That and a subscription to Good Housekeeping - because those are the two things I know she doesn't have. Maybe I'd also get her a bible, actually."

Cooper recently expressed his admiration for the pop icon and declared her his female counterpart: "She created a character named Lady Gaga and wrote songs for Lady Gaga, not for herself. I write songs for Alice, not for me. But if you meet her off stage she's nothing like that person on stage, it's like me I'm nothing like Alice."

The talented 25-year-old unveiled the exciting new offering last night, December 14, and it's a far cry from the compilation of vintage footage and home-shot scenes that propelled her into the spotlight with 'Video Games'. 

This new video shows Del Rey, real name Elizabeth Grant, sat on a throne in an empty church performing the track and these clips are interspersed with footage of the singer with her on-screen boyfriend in a car. The video ends with a bloodied Del Rey draped across her boyfriend's arms.

She was forced to release the visuals for 'Born To Die' ahead of schedule after it leaked online and a post on her official Facebook page explained the situation:

"I hope you like it - this isn't the time or way I wanted to show you the video but I'm in Beijing with no access to social media, and the video's been leaked from Russia so someone is posting this for me."

The 'Marry The Night' superstar generated a phenomenal income of $90 million between May 2010 and May 2011 and the incredible figure has put her at the top of Forbes' 2011 Top Earning Women in Music list.

The money has come from excessive touring, sales of her latest album 'Born This Way' and other related merchandise. 

The sum has put her ahead of 'Teenage Dream' hitmaker Katy Perry, who earned $44 million, and country sweetheart Taylor Swift, who took home $45 million.

The band, who enjoyed great success this year with their garage-made record 'Wasting Light', wrote a blog post which confirmed that 2012 will see them getting back to work on new material. Frontman Dave Grohl explained:

"We're not finished yet. There are still more shows to play, more songs to write, more albums to record, for years to come. I mean if you would have told me 17 years ago that in 2012 I would be writing songs for our eighth studio album...well."

'Wasting Light' has been nominated for numerous Grammy awards, including the coveted Album of the Year prize, and it got to No.1 in the UK charts earlier this spring. 

The Canadian crooner is now back at No.1 after shifting an impressive 105,000 copies this week alone despite the fact that this is now its eighth week on the albums chart. 

Coldplay's latest offering, 'Mylo Xyloto', has climbed 5 places to No.3, Rebecca Ferguson's debut 'Heaven' has dropped 4 positions to No.7 and Bee Gees' 'Number Ones' is this week's highest climber after moving up 20 spots to No.20. 

The girls, who recorded their own version of Damien Rice's stunning ballad for the vocal competition, have gone straight to the top of the chart with their debut offering and wrote a message of thanks to their fans on social networking site Twitter (December 14) that said:

"Wow so much support for #Cannonball we love you guys :) just at a photo shoot for #grazia"

The recent live X Factor finals have made a significant impact on today's update as Coldplay's 'Paradise' has climbed to No.2 and 'Hurt' by Leona Lewis has entered at No.3. The X Factor finalists' cover of 'Wishing On A Star' is also at No.13. 

Elsewhere in the official UK Top 40, 'Mama Do The Hump' from Rizzle Kicks has entered at No.39, Wham!'s 'Last Christmas' has climbed to No.19 and 'Fairytale Of New York' by The Pogues is at No.14. 

The boyband are going to put more time and effort into raising their profile in the U.S. next year and Tom Parker told the Daily Star newspaper that they're close to penning a stateside record deal:

"'Glad You Came' has just been added to the playlist on Kiss FM in LA, so that’s about 40 adds in America now. It’s growing really fast for us. We’re speaking to a really big management so once that deal is done and we get a few more radio adds I think it’s going to really take off.”

Jay McGuiness added that they are willing to start on the bottom rung in America and work their way up with extensive touring and promotional appearances, but won't neglect their loyal fans in the UK:

"We have the boyband hype side of it but at the same time it’s about hearing our songs and getting them in your head. We’re prepared to do the whole touring thing in America."

"Our fans at home know, because we do the online stuff so religiously, every week we email and are on Twitter, it’s not like we’re going to disappear like some acts do.”

The band have been plagued with setbacks throughout 2011 as their vocalist, Justin Young, was forced to undergo vocal surgery and the operations he needed forced them to pull out of both North American and Japanese tours.

Luckily, he has recovered well and is set to play a modest string of dates around the UK next spring.

This single marks the third cut from her debut album, 'Sticks + Stones', and also features Dot Rotten, Mic Righteous and Ghetts. The video sees Lloyd rocking her sideswept hair while performing the song in a dark room as the music surges around her. 

'Dub On The Track' has provoked a differing of public opinion with its grimy, dubstep sound and producer Skream even bashed it on social networking site Twitter earlier this summer, labelling it the "worst attempt at a commercial Dubstep track so far".

The 'Can't Be Tamed' singer and actress was photographed last weekend at the CNN Heroes event in Los Angeles with considerably bigger breasts, which in turn fuelled rumours that she had undergone a breast enhancement procedure. 

Cyrus has now taken to her official Twitter account to tell both her fans and the world's media that nothing about her is "fake" and that at 19-years-old she is still developing:

"Thank you for the compliment but these babies are all mine. I wish they'd realize you don't have to be fake to be beautiful! I'm 19!!! BOOBS GROW PEOPLE!"

The 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' hitmaker is set to unveil the new offering later this month, on December 27, and it will include a selection of songs from her latest studio album 'Stronger', along with a festive cover of 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'. 

Pre-orders for the mini-album are being taken now and it is also set to feature reworked versions of her well-known anthems 'Since U Been Gone' and 'My Life Would Suck Without You'. 

The 24-year-old singer announced last night that the track, 'Sleazy Remix 2.0 Get Sleazier', is available to buy now:

“Get ready to get even $leazier with this sick collaboration I did with 4 of my favorite MCs of all time: Weezy, Andre 3000, Wiz Khalifa, and T.I. I opened the ‘Get $leazy’ tour with this song every night and it always got the party started…Get ready, this is the SICKEST and SLEAZIEST version YET”.

Back in October, the rappers announced that they were working on the remix and they were competing to see who would pen the best verse.
