N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has opened up about returning to The X Factor as a judge later this year and described the opportunity as one that will allow her to grow.

Speaking to Top of the Pops magazine, the 'Young' songstress explained that it's exciting to be coming back for a second year and she thinks it will be better now as she knows what to expect from the role:

"I don't know if I'm allowed to answer. I suppose it doesn't really matter, so let's just say (I've known for) quite a while. Would it be cheeky to say I think I did a good enough job to keep my place?"

"I'm growing as a person, so you might see a change in me simply because I'm growing up, but I'm just going to be me. Whatever comes out, comes out."

Jason Derulo to make live comeback on American Idol

Singer Jason Derulo has confirmed that he will make his return to the stage with an exciting performance during the season finale of American Idol.

The star was forced to cancel his world tour earlier this year after sustaining a fractured neck, but revealed to Seventeen magazine that he is ready to return to work:

"I'm excited, but I'm a little nervous, too. I haven't moved my neck in over three months. I'll be ready for it!"

"Starting in two weeks, I'll begin rehearsals for the show, finish recording my album, and record the winning lines from Perfect Harmony."

"I’ll be focusing on those three things. Rehearsals are eight hours a day. There will also be a lot of hardcore dancing."

He also opened up about his new album and explained that it's "definitely a little different" in terms of the style and sound:

"Every song will always sound like me because it’s me singing and writing it, but the new album is definitely a little different. I’m always trying to reinvent my sound. Also, I haven’t done any collaboration in the past, but this time around, I’m inviting some friends over to help me with the album, so there will be some guest appearances. That’s something really cool."

JLS have revealed plans to approach Canadian rapper Drake for a collaboration on one of their future singles.

The lads are hard at work on their fourth studio album and member Marvin Humes explained to the Daily Star that getting the 'Take Care' superstar to guest on one of its tracks would be incredible:

"We'd love to do a record with Drake and we're going to approach him to feature on our next single as it has to be our best yet. I really want to see both him and Rihanna at Wireless Festival."

The heartthrobs are really excited about this record and Humes added: "Options are not good enough - we need an out-and-out smash. We're going to Scandinavia and America over the next few weeks to put pen to paper."

"Our fourth album is pivotal to our career. While we're very proud of what we've achieved – we've sold five million albums so far – the next album has to take us international."

One Direction's self-imposed age restriction for dating

Following the onslaught of criticism that plagued Harry Styles' relationship with the considerably older television presenter Caroline Flack, the One Direction boys have decided to set themselves an age limit for dating.

The Daily Mirror has quoted 20-year-old member Louis Tomlinson as saying that it's important to be able to relate to a partner and age is a big factor in that so he would be reluctant to pursue anyone older than 24:

"We're young lads, and you can date older women when you're older. But when you're older, you can't really get away with dating 18 or 19 year olds."

"We have been asked that before, I think it was around the time of Harry's little fling. In particular, how old's too old? For me, probably 23 or 24."

Tinie Tempah has opened up about his forthcoming new album and revealed that he's taking his sound "back to basics".

The 'Pass Out' hitmaker is hard at work on the follow up record to 'Disc-Overy' and explained to Capital FM that it will have a more "indie and underground and raw" appeal, and he's particularly excited about the collaboration with Dizzee Rascal:

"I've got something on there with Dizzee Rascal, which is amazing. I've been listening to Dizzee since I was 12-years-old so that means a lot to me. I'm really, really excited about that."

"It's very hard, it's very grimy. It's the complete opposite of what people would think we were gunning for. When I played the instrumental to Dizzee he was like, 'Thank god you didn't try and get me on something that you want to make a big hit'."

Although the offering hasn't yet been given an official release date, Tinie recently confirmed its title as 'Demonstration'.

"I think fans can expect a wide range of music. For me, I didn't want it to all be the same sound. You're going to have a track for every mood."

Madonna has confessed that she loves Adele and originally wanted her to take part in her Super Bowl performance back in February.

In a new interview with ITV's Daybreak, the Queen of Pop was asked if she'd like to work with the 'Set Fire To The Rain' songstress in the future and she explained:

"Yes, I would love to. I would love to meet her, I think she's brilliant, I love her. I wanted her to be in the Super Bowl with me, but I think she was having her throat problem or throat operation or something."

Back in March, Madonna publicly defended Adele after fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld made an unwelcome comment about her weight and said:

"That's ridiculous, that's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I don't like it when anybody says anything bad about anyone - I don't like it. Adele's a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it.''

'Domino' songstress Jessie J has admitted that touring and being a pop star sometimes begins to cloud her vision so she surrounds herself with people who aren't afraid to bring her back down to reality.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Jessie J explained that constant praise and adoration starts to get to her after a while and so it's important to remain grounded:

"You live in a bubble when you are travelling, touring and in the studio or on stage. You wake up and don't know what country you are in and you have people around you saying: 'You are amazing' and 'let me do this or that' and you completely lose yourself."

"It is going to affect you, even if you don't want it to. You have to be careful that you don't surround yourself with yes men. I need people who say 'You are being an idiot today, shut up'."

The hitmaker is currently working as a vocal coach on The Voice and is set to return to the studio to begin recording her sophomore album.

"We have some fans in America that have been fans for like eight or nine years -- right from the beginning -- so much so that they fly over to see us in the U.K. It's amazing that they are so dedicated. So I think we owe it to them to come over."

The cast of Glee have today notched up their 200th hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

The likes of Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith achieved the feat after their cover version of Gotye’s current chart-topper, ‘Somebody That I Used To Know,’ and their mash-up of Duran Duran’s 'Hungry Like The Wolf' and 'Rio' entered at No.26 and No.98 respectively in this week’s official chart.

The cast have reached the milestone in less than three years, having first appeared on the Hot 100 with their rendition of Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ (No.4) in June 2009, and are expected to add to their tally with the songs from last night’s disco-themed episode, next week’s Whitney Houston tribute and the upcoming graduation finale.

Their impressive record far surpasses the number of hit singles clocked up by their nearest competitors, Elvis Presley (108), Lil Wayne (101) and James Brown (91), although only 33 of their tracks have spent more than a week on the chart, whilst only a handful have been original compositions.

"I've started writing songs for a new album, which I hope will come out in 2012. Getting back in the studio and making music again — which I truly love doing — is the best way to end this crazy year."

Discussing his battles with kidney failure and lupus nephritus, Carey said: "It was really frightening, but he's feeling much stronger and is definitely on the right track. He's taking better care of himself, eating a diet low in sodium and sugar, and getting more sleep."

The Jackson Brothers reveal they are open to idea of Michael hologram for reunion tour

The Jackson Brothers have revealed that they have discussed the possibility of using a hologram of Michael for future live shows.

Jackie Jackson, who along with siblings Jermaine, Tito and Marlon, recently announced their first full-scale tour in over 20 years, told E! News that the band are open to using the same technology that brought Tupac back to life during Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Sunday evening set at Coachella.

Commenting on a bigger tour planned for next year, he said: "It could have Michael—absolutely. Wouldn't that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael's Cirque du Soleil show."

The 60-year-old went onto admit that the group are struggling to narrow down the setlist for their Unity tour which kicks off in Louisville, KY on June 18, but that they will definitely be paying tribute to their late brother:

"There are so many songs. That's the hardest part because we want to include all the favorites and not leave anything out. We're going to sing some of Michael's stuff, too. We're going to honor him on the stage. He'd want us to do our thing to the best of our ability."

Keane songwriter admits new record is their first 'really great album.'

Keane chief songwriter and keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley has admitted that the band’s fourth studio effort, 'Strangeland', is the first time he’s felt the band has “made a really great album.”

The 35-year-old, who has previously written songs for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Gwen Stefani, told MTV News that the decision to go back-to-basics for their first full-length album in four years has paid off:

“The emotional directness and passionate heart of this record is something that I think is a bit different from Perfect Symmetry and Night Train - probably closer to Hopes and Fears in that respect.

“It's also more hopeful and philosophical than Under The Iron Sea I think, although the sonic landscape is quite similar to that album in that it's quite ethereal and 3D.

“This is the first time I felt we've made a really great album…and that's as much as you can do really!”

The multi-instrumentalist also hinted that more material from the album’s sessions could be on its way when asked about the tracks that were left off the record:

“I think there's enough 'good' stuff for a 'good' album, but it's a question of whether an album's worth of really great stuff would come together quickly.

“Maybe we'll do another EP - that's a nice way to put out a few songs that's a little less intense. We still feel an album is a major journey in its own right, and I think we feel better about taking our time with that and trying our best to make something that's the best possible thing we could do at any given moment. I've got a feeling it might take us a while..!”
