Coldplay's Chris Martin feels like each Coldplay record is their last

With news of Coldplay's fifth studio album release, 'Mylo Xyloto', Chris Martin has said band believe they have thrown everything they have into this new record.

Martin told Billboard the band was inspired to get back into the studio after producer Brian Eno wrote them a letter.

Martin said: "When we finished the last record 'Viva La Vida', we were all feeling pretty pleased with ourselves when it was like Number One or whatever. Then… Brian Eno wrote to us and said, 'Dear Coldplay. I really think we've made a good record here. But I do think we can do a lot better, and I feel we all need to get back to work as soon as possible.

"I always feel like each record is our last, but at the moment I'm in the stage where I really mean it. I just can't imagine how we would do another one, because we've thrown everything. When it's finished, we won't have been able to put more work into it, which I guess is the only thing we can really do"

Martin also strangely compared the new album to a sandwich, responding to a question about whether the band records with an audience in mind saying:

"We don't make it for us, we don't make it to sell millions, we don't make it to answer critics or anything. We make it so that if you're in a store and you buy our record, or a ticket, like a good sandwich, you go, 'That's good!' That's all it is.'"

The band will release the album on October 24, with a single, titled 'Paradise', set to come out on September 12.

'Fix Up Look Sharp' star Dizzee Rascal has opened up about the progress of his autobiography.

The London rapper explained that he is currently spending time with a ghostwriter named Ben Thompson and together, the pair are penning his autobiography. Battling with the promise to fans of a new record, Dizzee admits that the literary project has been "pushed back a bit" so as not to disappoint:

"The book has been pushed back a bit - I'll probably get the album out first. I sit there with Ben Thompson and tell him everything. Everyone's got secrets and I've got more than plenty."

He's excited to immortalise his life story and is finding the writing process like "a therapy session", adding:

"You know what? I enjoyed it. It was a bit of a therapy session, because I ain't had no therapy sessions before. Telling someone everything has been great. I got into trouble so much when I was younger, now I don't try to get too wild and rebellious or anything."

The Libertines' stars, Pete Doherty and Carl Barat, have posted a photograph of them on the internet spending time together and in turn have sparked speculation that the band may reform.

The much-talked about picture appeared on Barat's Twitter account yesterday, August 11, and was accompanied by the caption, "just spent the day with me ol . Tickety bibble x"

Earlier this year, Barat told the NME that his band probably had no future and he was doubtful that they would ever reconcile:

"We are all in very different places. Right now is not the time for The Libertines. I thought the water under the bridge was under the bridge, but maybe it's not. It's a very fucking hard thing. Every time we talk it just brings it back up."

Dizzee Rascal reveals unexpected dream collaboration

UK star Dizzee Rascal has revealed that his dream collaboration of the moment would be with Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl.

The 'Bonkers' hitmaker explained to The Sun newspaper that he's really familiar with his back catalogue and has "loved him since his Nirvana days":

"I'd like to to work with Kanye West and Andre 3000. But Dave Grohl is the one - I met him last year and he was really cool. I've loved him since his Nirvana days. I love the way he carries himself. He refused to live in the shadow of Nirvana. He's carved his own thing."

He added that working on rock music is simply "second nature" and feels that a working partnership with Grohl would be "really cool":

"I'd love to have him in the studio just to see how he views things. I've done rock with the Arctic Monkeys and it was just second nature. I'd love for Dave to produce a track, or just get his perspective and get some of the shit he knows. Next album, I'd love to."
