The Xtra Factor presenter and hitmaker took to social networking site Twitter this afternoon, November 30, to thank his fans for purchasing the record and wrote:

"NUMBER 1 in the midweeks with NEW Album!! Well chuffed!! X thanks to everyone that's bought it!! x"

Michael Bublé's festive offering, aptly titled 'Christmas', has moved up a place to No.2, Take That's 'Progress Live' is a new entry at No.10 and Joe McElderry's 'Classic Christmas' has made an appearance at No.13. 

Nickelback's 'Here and Now' and Kate Bush's '50 Words For Snow' have both fallen a hefty 17 places and this week's highest climber comes from Jessie J as her debut album 'Who You Are' has moved up 6 positions to No.23.

The Girls Aloud star has been flying solo in 2011 and 'Yo-Yo' marks the third single release from her debut album 'Cinderella's Eyes'.

The video ends with Roberts in the shower, revealing her bra, after being jilted by an apparent lover.

The clip opens with the singer seesawing between different outfits before eventually joining a party, with the whole video interspersed with shots of an expert yo-yo player plying his quick-wristed trade.

Roberts meanwhile recently stated that Girls Aloud, who have been taking time off, are set to celebrate their 10 year anniversary late next year.

The finalists recorded their own version of Rose Royce's 'Wishing On A Star' and it has entered the singles chart this afternoon, November 30, at the top.

Proceeds from the sales will be donated to the talent show's chosen charity, which is Together For Short Lives, and according to the Official Charts Company it is on course to be No.1 when the positions are confirmed this weekend. 

Emeli Sandé's 'Daddy' is the second highest new entry at No.18, Jason Derulo's 'Fight For You' has made an appearance at No.21 and Example's 'Midnight Run' has fallen just inside the UK Top 40 at No.40. 

Jessie J boasts this week's highest climbing single as her latest offering 'Who You Are' has shot up an impressive 30 places to No.7 following her performance of it on last week's X Factor and Rebecca Ferguson's 'Nothing's Real But Love' has fallen 16 places to No.26.

Michael, real name Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, was admitted to a hospital in Vienna last week after falling ill with "severe" pneumonia, later cancelling the rest of his scheduled tour.

However, the doctors treating the star - Professors Gottfried Locker and Christoph Zielinski - have confirmed that his condition is improving. They said:

"The latest development in Mr Michael's case, which has evolved from a severe pneumococcal infection, necessitated intensive care due to its severity and extension. We are happy to announce that Mr Michael is improving steadily with an impressive regression of pneumonic symptoms and follows a steady rate of improvement as hoped."

They also moved to reaffirm that there are no underlying health issues affecting Michael. They added:

"There are no other health issues with regards to the patient other than the underlying pneumonic disorder, and no further measures had to be taken. Mr Michael is receiving precisely the same treatment as any ordinary patient in Austria would receive at the hospital for this disease."

In a new interview with TOTP magazine, which is out today (November 30), the 'When Love Takes Over' superstar explained that she enjoys playing the virtual reality simulation game and even logs on daily for an hour or two:

"I'm such a geek when it comes to The Sims video game! I spend at least an hour a day living my life in the Sims world."

Although she describes this habit as 'geeky', Rowland added that Beyoncé encourages her behaviour and love of technology, and has even taught her how to make and upload videos to YouTube:

"Beyoncé is probably as big a geek as me! At the moment she's got me into making little YouTube videos on my computer. It's great to share them with all your friends when you're away for a while."

Speaking exclusively to The Sun newspaper, the 'Nothing's Real But Love' songstress explained that she thrives in situations where she is emotionally challenged so working on a "dark and interesting" character would be perfect for her:

"I always thought I'd like to act. Let's see who offers me a role. I'd like something quite dark and interesting, something really emotional that you can get into."

"I wouldn't like nothing too light. If I was gonna do it, I'd like to get proper stuck into a challenge."

Devlin messed up the lyrics half way through the song on the TV programme's live show on Saturday (November 26) before being eliminated the next day.

And, speaking to The Fly, drummer Zac Hanson rounded on the singer - although he acknowledged it was probably just down to nerves. He said:

"She seemed really nervous and she did a pretty piss-poor job of it. Not trying to be mean, I think she can sing but there's a certain groove to that song that comes from listening to doo-wop records and Motown records and that's the way you have to sing it, with that in mind. It sounded like she was singing it as straight as possible. It was like she didn't remember the song. From what I'm told, she's a fan of the band, that's why she picked the song. I can only figure that nerves took over."

Although admitting she has a "good voice" and would be open to writing music with her, he also lamented her lack of professionalism in forgetting the words. He added:

"I don't feel sorry for her because I think it's your job as a performer to do things well. If I had to sing an opera song, I would spend every day making sure I knew that song inside and out so that I when I came to perform it I wouldn't do a crap job of it. That's your responsibility. She has a good voice though so I wouldn't turn it down if she wanted to co-write a song."

The 'Promises' duo have confirmed that they will take their dubstep hits out on the road early next year for an extensive set of dates that will be known as the 'Second Reality Tour'.

Speaking exclusively to Rolling Stone magazine, the superstar explained that his sophomore offering 'Trespassing' is set to feature some raunchy cuts that he can't wait to unleash on his fans:

"There's party music, sex music, fucked-up-relationship S&M music. But every song explores something real."

Elaborating on the theme of the 'real', Lambert admitted that one of his new songs entitled 'Outlaws of Love' addresses gay marriage and the issues surrounding it in modern society:

"I'd never considered marriage before, but now that I am, I can't do it."

The endlessly talented vocalist added that he still can't comprehend the success he has enjoyed since appearing on American Idol and is so grateful for the opportunity to show the world what he can do:

"No major label would've signed a gay 27-year-old white theater dude without Idol. Now it's about how I use the platform. Whoever you are, I hope you can find yourself in these songs. If that happens, I've won."

The physician was given four years in prison for the involuntary manslaughter of the King of Pop, who died in 2009 from a fatal dose of the anaesthetic propofol, but the superstar's loved ones don't feel as though the sentence was fair. 

Speaking to Britiain's The Sun newspaper, Jermaine Jackson gave a statement on behalf of the family and explained that justice has not been served:

"What happened yesterday was not justice. True justice shouldn't feel as empty and pointless as this. Justice is not having some clown of a doctor act so criminally negligent with Michael's life that he ends up killing him... then receives such a pitiful sentence. That's not natural justice..."

"Dr Conrad Murray (should have been) charged with, and convicted of, second-degree murder and sent down for decades... I don't blame Judge Michael Pastor. The maximum sentence could only be four years by law... Judge Pastor's hands were tied and he gave him the maximum sentence, but four years feels woefully insufficient."

The group are best known for their hit 'MMMbop', which was released back in 1997 when the brothers were in their early teens, but they now want to expand their fan base by branching out into the alcohol industry and unveiling their very own beverage.

26-year-old Zac explained their unusual decision: "It’s vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson do. We are soon going to be selling our own beer. I’m not joking – MMMhop IPA anyone?”

The 'Somebody Told Me' stars took to their Twitter page last night, November 29, and explained that to commemorate Christmas this year they will release a special track called 'The Cowboys' Christmas Ball':

"Dec.1st is just around the corner, and you know what that means.. Our 6th Christmas Single is on its way."

The six-track '(RED) Christmas EP' is available to buy now (November 30) from iTunes and during the first 90 days, all profits from its sale will revert to the RED.

On the EP track, 'Joseph, Better You Than Me', The Killers are joined by Elton John and Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys.

In a series of posts on her own Twitter page, November 29, the Fashion Police presenter gave her opinions on celebrities who pay people to run their public accounts for them:

"I found out that some celebs pay ppl 2 run there twitter for them! half of me thinks it ok 4 ppl like my mum & dad who cant type but half of me feels like its wrong because your not being real to the people that follow you! what do you guys think?"

In brand new behind-the-scenes footage from her video shoot for 'Countdown', the hitmaker told the camera that on September 23 she was six months pregnant, which indicates that the full 9 months will fall in December rather than February:

"Hello, it's September 23rd. Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! This was on the cover of the Daily News."

"Right now I'm actually shooting the video for Countdown and I'm six months pregnant, pretending that my stomach is flat in body suits. But thank god you can't really tell from the front, but when I turn to the side... oh baby! Oh baby!"
