X Factor criticised over Frankie Cocozza on-air swear

The X Factor has been criticised by broadcasting watchdog Ofcom over a swear word used by contestant Frankie Cocozza on a live show.

The show, which was originally shown on October 23 last year, attracted 108 complaints, reports the BBC.

Sister show the Xtra Factor apologised 44 minutes after the incident occured, in which Cocozza said: "F***ing have it. Get in there."

However, Ofcom have ruled that TV bosses should have been more swift in dealing with the swearing.

Channel Television, who deals with the "legal compliance" of the X Factor, is said to have claimed that the swear word wasn't heard at the time by the TV production crew due to the noise in the studio. They added:

"Had we appreciated that the comment was audible to viewers, we would have asked [presenter] Dermot O'Leary to make an immediate apology."

And she revealed that she has been sent music from label EMI to work on. She said:

Two men have appeared in court accused of hacking into Michael Jackson's back catalogue, according to the Irish Independent.

James Marks, 26, and James McCormick, 25, are said to have appeared in Leicester crown court last Friday (March 2) over the alleged stealing of tracks belonging to Sony Music. They deny the charges.

The hacking had been mooted in the press over the past few days, but a statement from Sony confirmed that the hacking incident did occur and that it took place in May 2011. The statement said:

"We confirmed the breach last May and immediately took steps to secure the site and notify authorities. As a result, the two suspects were arrested. There was no consumer data involved in the incident."

Michael Jackson's back catalogue meanwhile has been the subject of question recently, with sister La Toya Jackson suggesting that some of the vocals which appeared on his posthumous album 'Michael' wasn't that of the late singer.

We're trying very hard to stay positive but it's really knocked us all for six and, if I'm honest, I'm not dealing with it very well."

La Toya on her late brother's album 'Michael': "It is definitely not his voice"

La Toya Jackson has spoken out about the questionable vocals on her late brother's posthumous album, 'Michael', and insists that some of the tracks simply don't sound like they were recorded by him at all.

She appeared as a guest on The Talk yesterday, March 5, and opened up about the recent allegations made by TMZ that suggested Paris Jackson had told a friend the voice on the album wasn't her father's.

The teen later denied these claims, but La Toya has thrown her weight behind the rumour, admitting she doesn't believe the King of Pop sang on every song:

"I haven't heard the complete album but I do know some of the songs that I've heard, it is definitely not his voice."

"Paris (Jackson) called me and said, 'Aunt La Toya, I want you to listen to something... You gotta listen to this, this is not daddy's voice.' She played it for me and I go, 'Paris, you're right, it's not.'"

"And I kept listening, and kept listening and it was not his voice and she was so concerned about it and she said, 'We gotta put a stop to this. We must to put a stop to this. And I'm not gonna let them (record executives) get by (get away) with this.'"

"This is a little girl, and this is the way she thinks because she loves her father and she didn't wanna see that out there when it wasn't her father's voice. And she went on to say this is the person who impersonates him and he's very good at it."

Kylie Minogue has delighted fans by teasing them about an 'Anti Tour'.

The stunning songstress took to her Twitter page yesterday, March 5, and shared a promotional photograph for the production, which informed her 1.1 million fans that a new live show is set to launch down under: "YES! #AntiTour is coming to Australia."

A statement on the 'All The Lovers' star's website explains that this exciting new tour will give fans the chance to hear Minogue "and her band performing those songs you thought you’d never hear live":

"Small, intimate, unexpected. A unique experience, for super fans only. Kylie and her band performing those songs you thought you’d never hear live! The flipside to a huge “Kylie production”, a once in a lifetime chance and a night to remember."

Last week, Minogue told Sky News that the Anti Tour really appeals to her because it's such an unusual and niche concept:

"(The) Anti tour is something I'm very keen on. I think it's an interesting concept. That's something that's really just for super fans. There's not going to be hit songs in that show, but it's a good balance to something like (the) Aphrodite (tour)."

So far, she has announced 2 dates in Australia and will perform on March 18 at The Palace in Melbourne and March 20 at the Big Top in Sydney. Tickets for the dates will be on sale as of tomorrow, March 7.

Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon is coming to terms with his diagnosis of lupus nephritis and has spoken out about how the condition initially went undetected.

Although the comedian and television personality previously opened up to People magazine about his illness, he sat down with ABC's Good Morning America this week to explain the situation and revealed that "a lot of people have passed away from that":

"The technical term is lupus nephritis. It's a rare form of lupus that's just attacking my kidneys. They thought it was just kidney disease and then they were trying to figure out why my immune system was attacking my kidneys and that was sort of the root of it all."

Earlier this year, Cannon was told that he had simply suffered from kidney failure, but after doctors found blood clots in his lungs he knew it was something more serious:

"A lot of people have passed away from that and the doctor said luckily I was in such great shape and taking care of myself because a lot of people have been taken down by it."
