Adam Levine wasn't confident when proposing to his fiancée

Maroon 5 superstar Adam Levine has revealed that proposing to his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo was one of the most anxiety-inducing things he has ever done.

During a new interview on 'Live! With Kelly and Michael', the 'Payphone' heartthrob explained that he was incredibly nervous when popping the question and his confidence just dissipated:

“It doesn’t matter how certain you think you are. You still get down on that knee, and you get woozy, and you’re like, ‘I’m doing this, oh my god.’ You can’t be confident about it. I’m a confident person, but I got on that knee and everything changed immediately. I lost my equilibrium. I had to get on the other one.”

Levine went onto add that his confidence didn't return when making the speech, either: “I had nothing. I usually have some charming thing to say. I remember one thing about it. I did say at one point, ‘Both knees! Look, I got on both knees!’ And it didn’t sound charming at all.”

Earlier this month, Levine also revealed that he asked Prinsloo father's permission before asking her to marry him: "I did ask his permission. I don't want to talk about it, you know how I am; but yes, of course I did. I had to. And it was extremely nerve-racking."
