Adam Levine sparks Fox News spat over Twitter comments

Maroon 5's frontman Adam Levine has hit out at the American channel Fox News.

Writing publicly on his official Twitter page last night, October 19, he slammed the corporation as "evil":

"Dear Fox News, don't play our music on your evil fucking channel ever again. Thank you."

Although Levine didn't specify which show had used the band's music or which song had been played, his tweet triggered a response from Fox broadcaster Andy Levy, who replied "Dear @AdamLevine, don't make crappy f*cking music ever again. Thank you."

Levy then added, "Maroon 5's bio strangely fails to note the band was developed by the CIA as part of its enhanced interrogation techniques program."

Fox News' Red Eye host, Greg Gutfeld, also had something to say about Levine's comments and wrote:

"Dear adam, That's not music. fun joke: why did Maroon 5 cross the road? because crappy music is legal there! Maroon 5 is just bad music."
