Adam Levine has no solo intentions

Maroon 5's Adam Levine has spoken out about the possibility of becoming a solo artist in the future and never wants to go down that route despite his individual popularity.

In a new interview with Paper Mag, the 'Moves Like Jagger' singer explained that he wants to avoid splitting from his band because it's the group atmosphere that keeps his passion strong where his music career is concerned:

"I'm going to do everything in my power to avoid [going solo]. Everybody does that. I spent my whole life doing everything I've ever done for Maroon 5. I love playing music with my friends."

He also admitted that perhaps because people might expect him to go solo at some point it almost drives him to put more effort into keeping his band together, and added:

"I'm a big fan of not doing everything the way that I'm supposed to. I like to spike in some weirdness - not that it's weird to stay in my band, but nobody does it anymore so it makes it more of a challenge to keep that as your rock."
