'Payphone' singer and The Voice USA coach Adam Levine is set to host America's iconic Saturday Night Live show for the first time later this month.

The Maroon 5 frontman will step into the coveted role on the January 26 episode, which will also include Kendrick Lamar as its musical guest, and this will mark his hosting debut.

Levine had a cameo in a short entitled 'The Stand Off" with Jeremy Renner earlier this season and his band have appeared on SNL several times to perform. 

He also took to his official Twitter page earlier today (January 3) and shared his New Year's resolution with his 3.7 million followers, which is simply to "be more awesome".
