Adam Levine crowned 'Sexiest Man Alive'

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has been named the 2013 Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine in America.

While his appearance was obviously honoured by the title, his impressive string of achievements and personal successes were also mentioned in the accompanying paragraph of praise, which reads:

"Being busy never looked as good as it does on PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive: a surprise June engagement to girlfriend Behati Prinsloo came while the singer was shooting his first feature film."

"He launched his men's clothing line at Kmart this year and namesake fragrances for men and women; he dominated on his NBC hit 'The Voice'; and the 34-year-old also managed to find time to get nearly naked – and cuddle with some puppies. Sigh. Is there anything he can't do?"

Speaking about being named the hottest guy in the world by the publication, Levine explained that he was surprised to have even been nominated: "As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn't really think that this was on the table. I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool."

Other music stars included in the Top 10 are country hitmaker Luke Bryan, 'Grenade' sensation Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake. People's Sexiest Man Alive issue is due to hit newsstands on Friday, November 22.
