Aerosmith 'probably' doing a farewell tour next year

Musician Steven Tyler has confessed that Aerosmith will probably be doing a farewell tour in 2017.

Speaking to America's Rolling Stone magazine, the frontman admitted that Aerosmith will go out on tour together next year, but it's likely to be a goodbye jaunt:

"I'm doing 30 (solo) shows from May until August. And then in 2017 we go out with Aerosmith. We're probably doing a farewell tour."

Tyler, meanwhile, is currently carving out a career for himself as a solo country music artist, which means that Aerosmith are on hiatus. He added: "Look, there's two bands that still have the original members, us and the (Rolling) Stones. I'm grateful for that. Whether we do a farewell tour or go into the studio and do another record, I'm just excited about it."
