Alexandra Burke promises a "more womanly" and "sexier" album

Alexandra Burke may have faced several setbacks with her forthcoming new album, but she has now promised fans that it will be worth the wait and is "more womanly".

The 'Bad Boys' hitmaker has been in the studio working on her follow up record to 'Overcome' and she revealed to the Daily Star newspaper that she has taken risks with this new offering as she wanted to be "sexier":

"It's very different to Overcome. This one is a bit more womanly, sexier. I've taken more risks. I've done six albums worth of songs. Hopefully it will be out for Easter."

Burke also added that she partnered with Colombian DJ Erick Morillo for this new set of songs and described her new musical direction as 'colourful':

"I've been doing some amazing stuff with him (Morillo) in LA. One track in particular is very special. Erick is a very talented producer and I'm sure I will be working with him a lot. It's not strictly a banging album. It's fun, loud, up-tempo, in-your-face. It has a lot of colours."
