Alicia Keys on working with Madonna: 'It was casual and cool'

'Girl On Fire' songstress Alicia Keys has revealed that working with Madonna on the icon's forthcoming new album was a surprisingly relaxing experience.

Speaking to Vibe magazine, the superstar explained that getting to play piano on the Queen of Pop's new record was great and ended up being a very laid-back impromptu project: "It was good. I was in here doing a meeting or something and she was working with Diplo."

She continued: "They were like, 'Oh, maybe you can play some piano on this thing'. And I was like, 'Alright. I'll try. If you hate it, you can take it off'. It was just like that, casual and cool."

Diplo, meanwhile, recently told Billboard that he wrote a great song with Madonna while they were tipsy in the studio: "One [song] is super weird. Late one night in the studio we got a little bit drunk and she improvised a little hook and we made a song out of it. I think it’s going to be a breakthrough if she can manage to get everything together and get it out properly."
