Alicia Keys has unveiled her latest single 'New Day'.

The track looks set to come off her forthcoming fifth album, which will mark the follow-up to her 2009 effort 'The Element of Freedom'.

Keys unveiled 'New Day' yesterday (June 28) as she looks to ignite her solo career once again.

Tweeting about the release of 'New Day', Keys said:

"Here's that first taste of what I was talking about... It's a ‪#AKNewDay‬!!! Let's fly!"

Keys later asked for fans to say what a "new day" means to them. She tweeted:

"Tell me what a new day is to u!! For me it is the choice to create the life u DREAM about & letting NOTHING and NO ONE stop you!!! ‪#AKNEWDAY."
