Amelia Lily reckons she is a "fresher" version of Katy Perry and P!nk.

The former X Factor star told Bang Showzbiz that she channels the two US stars in her ethos, with the duo inspiring her to write music.

She said: "I've got musical idols - my top two would be P!nk and Katy Perry and I feel like I'm kind of a younger, fresher version of them. Their music inspires me to write my own. They're my top two."

Lily meanwhile will release her new single 'California' on August 24 in the UK.

The X Factor 2011 finalist scrapped the release of her debut album 'Be A Fighter' earlier this year to instead work on fresh tunes.
