Amelia Lily says she looks up to Little Mix and the way they have cracked the States.

The girl group are one of many British acts who have managed to make a splash in the US, following the likes of One Direction and Ed Sheeran.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz, X Factor 2011 finalist Amelia Lily said that she takes inspiration from Little Mix and they way they have become a success abroad.

She said: "It definitely inspires me. I'd love to go on to be an international success. I always said I'd like to start in the UK and then hopefully build across the globe but you know, take one step at a time. At the end of the day, it's all about the songs in my opinion.

"If you've got great songs, you can do what you wanna do - that's the way I look at it. But absolutely, I'd love to be an international success."

Lily meanwhile will release her new single 'California' on August 24 in the UK.
