New video from The Answer

Shortly after Irish rock band The Answer announced the release of a new EP named after the previously unreleased track ‘Rise’, comes a video of the band performing the title track at the legendary Ulster Hall in Belfast with the prestigious Ulster orchestra. The event took place on May 22nd and saw some of Northern Irelands finest talent showcased in what was called ‘The Great Northern Songbook – 150 years of The Ulster Hall’.

The ‘Rise 2012 EP’ follows last years Top 40 studio album ‘Revival’ and is due for release on July 2nd.

The Answer will also be undertaking a truly unique one off Belfast performance of the full 2006 RISE album at The Empire on July 5th along with an action packed summer that will see the band perform shows in Italy with Wolfmother as well as festival appearances in UK, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and France.

While THE DARKNESS gear up for the August 20 release of their third studio album HOT CAKES ([PIAS] Recordings), the group--JUSTIN HAWKINS (vocals/guitars), DAN HAWKINS (guitars/backing vocals), FRANKIE POULLAIN (bass) and ED GRAHAM (drums)--joined forces with the popular comedy site Funny or Die to film the hilarious clip in Los Angeles.

Lower Than Atlantis headline tour pre sale now live

As announced on stage at their monumental Download 2012 performance, the brilliant Watford 4 piece LOWER THAN ATLANTIS can now finally reveal the first details of their brand new studio album ‘Changing Tune’. The album will be released on September 17th through Island Records, is produced by John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, Architects, You Me At Six) and was recorded at Rockfield Studios in the early part of 2012.

Mike Duce, vocalist, front man and guitarist of LTA: ‘’Everything we'd done up until now had been rushed, on a shoestring budget and against the clock. With this album, we had the facilities and the time to use them to our advantage to create something really great. We could literally work all and any hours we wished, whereas before we'd have to force creativity out between 10-6, which didn't always happen.’’

Mike adds that working at the legendary Rockfields really added something extra to the album, in more ways than just the conventional; ‘’As horrible and cliched as it sounds, we definitely used the studio as another instrument but without losing the vibe of a rock band playing live. Recording in such a prestigious studio acted as a muse and was inspirational beyond belief. We've never been happier with a collection of songs and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it. If not, it could make a pretty sick coaster for your tea or something...’’

Live wise the band have recently completed a UK tour with Twin Atlantic (as main support), played both The Great Escape and The Camden Crawl Festivals, played main stage at Slam Dunk Festival, JUST played 2nd stage at Download Festival and had a sold out UK headline tour (their first headline tour ever) earlier in 2012. All of this is on top of recent UK tours with the likes of You Me At Six, Arcitechts, We Are The Ocean and a USA headline tour and a USA support tour with Asking Alexandria.
