Ariana Grande confirms Justin Bieber duet: 'He came to me with a song he had written'

Earlier this week, Justin Bieber delighted fans by sharing a photograph of himself in the recording studio with vocal sensation Ariana Grande and teased a collaboration, but Grande has now confirmed it during an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

Speaking to KIIS-FM, the 'Problem' beauty explained that the Canadian heartthrob suggested it and they're working on a song that he wrote himself:

"Im excited about it … I’m just very excited. Justin wrote it and he brought the idea to me. And I was really excited to hear it and I’m excited to work with him. I’ve  wanted to work with him for a while. And I know it’s something our fan have been begging for for years now.”

When asked when the track is likely to be released, Grande confessed that it will hopefully feature on her upcoming new album: "I’m hoping it ends up on my album, which will be out late summer.”

On May 1, Grande posted a message to her followers on Twitter and told them she was preparing a treat for them, which now seems likely to have been in reference to her Bieber duet: "Working on a surprise for y'all that I think you're really gonna love."
