Ariana Grande on Miley Cyrus comparisons: 'I don't measure myself by what she's doing'

Vocal powerhouse Ariana Grande has confessed that she doesn't like being compared to the likes of Miley Cyrus because they're so different and are both trying to 'do their own thing' rather than battle against each other.

Speaking to Britain's Daily Star newspaper, the beauty explained that she's tired of the constant comparisons and they're only usually drawn because she's a solo female artist, which typically means there are barely any similarities there besides gender:

"There are so many comparisons for girls in this industry it's annoying. I'm not thinking: 'Miley Cyrus is doing this so I ought to do this too'. We are all trying to do our own things and be successful in our own right."

Grande went onto add that her new wave of fame as a singer means that her life is very different and things have definitely changed since her Nickelodeon days:

"I'm always excited by people evolving, changing and growing up. I just get to showcase it on stage... In the past month things have changed drastically in my life. I can't go out with a little bun on my head and no make-up any more."
