Ariana Grande on 'Problem': 'I was scared of it at first'

Vocal sensation Ariana Grande has confessed that initially she was 'scared' of her hit single 'Problem' because it was so outside of her comfort zone that it intimidated her.

Speaking to Columbian.com about the track, she admitted that it was unlike anything she had ever done and worried her because she was unsure of how people would react to it:

"Once we wrote it and recorded it, I was like, 'Hmm, I'm kind of scared of this.' It started to intimidate me a little because it felt different for me and it was such a risk with the whispers. It took me a lot of time."

"I had to separate myself from it for a while. For a couple months I didn't even listen to it."

She then added that listening to the final mix of the song helped her feel more confident about it because she heard it as the full package and knew it would work so well: "I heard it again when it was finally mixed and done and I was like, 'Oh, wow. Hmm, maybe I am completely wrong.'"
