Ariana Grande fought back over grammatically incorrect lyrics

Songstress Ariana Grande has revealed that the lyrics to her collaborative single with Zedd initially bothered her because from a grammatical viewpoint they make little sense.

During an interview with Time magazine, she confessed that the line in 'Break Free' that reads "now that I've become who I really are" really irritated her, as did the line "I only wanna die alive". Both lines were so annoying to Grande that she argued to change them with co-producer Max Martin:

"I fought [co-producer Max Martin] on it the whole time. 'I am not going to sing a grammatically incorrect lyric, help me God!' Max was like, 'It's funny -- just do it!' I know it's funny and silly, but grammatically incorrect things make me cringe sometimes."

The beauty went onto add that she eventually decided to just get over it and stop fussing over such insignificant details: "I need to shake it off and let it go and be a little less rigid and old. I'm like, 90. I need to not be that old."
