Ariana Grande has told young creative minds to keep pursuing their dreams.

The singer made the statement whilst collecting the Choice Female Artist prize at Sunday's (August 10) Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

The 'Yours Truly' star took time during her speech to pay tribute to those to have dreams of making it big in the entertainment industry.

Grande said: "All the teens out there who love to sing and dance and act, don’t ever stop. I was told no so many times, and I never took no for an answer. For my nona [grandmother, who was her date to the event], don’t ever give up."

Speaking on Twitter after the event meanwhile, the US star said:

"Thank y'all so much!!!!!!! My first TCA. thank u for the realest love! I love y'all with all my heart. Thank u x a million."
