Ariana Grande: 'I went through such a weird phase as a kid'

'Problem' superstar Ariana Grande has joked about the 'phase' she went through as a young child that involved her wearing horror masks and being obsessed by all things macabre.

Speaking to Alan Carr on his 'Chatty Man' talk show about her love of all things spooky when she was a kid, Grande explained that she really liked wearing creepy masks and carrying around aggressive props although she's glad it was only a phase:

"I had a phase where I wore a lot of Halloween masks and I would carry a hockey stick around with me, but that was just a few years and I turned out fine. It was definitely a weird phase, it went from the ages of two to about four I guess, but it was fine, and then it switched to like Dorothy outfits and healthier choices."

Grande, meanwhile, was recently confirmed as one of the performers at the KIIS FM Jingle Ball on December 5 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Also on the bill are Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds of Summer and Sam Smith.
