Ariana Grande has debuted a lyric video for her new Christmas song.

The singer released the tune 'Santa Tell Me' earlier this week and its lyric video has now been released.

The US star meanwhile recently said in an interview that the song represents a less jollier side to Christmas.

The track features the lyrics: "Santa tell me if you’re really there/don’t make me fall in love again/If he won’t be here next year."

Speaking about the song, Grande said: "I wanted to do something a little more depressing because I feel like there aren’t enough depressing Christmas songs.

"I feel like it’s a very real thing. I’ve been through it, I’ve seen a lot of my friends go through it, like breakups during Christmas time."
