Ariana Grande has been confirmed to perform at the upcoming NBA All-Star Game.

The singer will play the half-time slot at Madison Square Garden in New York on February 15.

The US star follows in the footsteps of the likes of Mariah Carey and Rihanna, who have also played the gig.

The event will form part of the NBA's All-Star Weekend.

Grande meanwhile is due to perform at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 8.

The singer is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for 'Bang Bang' (with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj), and Best Pop Vocal Album for 'My Everything'.
