Ariana Grande video director rejects plagiarism accusation

The director of Ariana Grande's latest music video has denied that its concept was stolen from another band.

The singer unleashed the promo clip for her track 'One Last Time' on Monday (February 16).

It sees the US star walk through a post-apocalyptic street before cuddling a man in front of a tumultuous sky.

Indie band SAFIA later spoke out, saying that they felt it was far too similar to the clip for their 2014 song 'You Are The One'.

That video sees a woman walking along a road after an apocalyptic blast before embracing a man.

However, 'One Last Time' video director Max Landis took to Twitter overnight to deny the accusation.

He wrote: "I hope you f*cking love the #OLT video as much as I do. But I don't love enough to steal. Anything. *Ever.*

"Coincidences are coincidences tropes are tropes, but those in glass houses shouldn't throw meteors. Everyone in the biz said "stay quiet, let it blow over" f*ck that. I respect Ariana way too much to let her get called a thief."
