Ariana Grande on 'Scream Queens' role: 'I offered to play any role'

Songstress Ariana Grande has opened up about being part of the new TV series 'Scream Queens' and described the show as being "girly, macabre, glamour, gothic, and scary".

The 'Problem' superstar recently told Extra that co-creator Ryan Murphy was the main reason she wanted to get involved and praised him for being so inventive and imaginative with the roles that he writes:

“When I got the chance to meet with him, I was like, 'Whatever you want me to do, I’m down.' I was like, 'I’ll play any role, I’ll be the first one to die, the villain, I'll be anything you want.' I was so excited when this opportunity came about."

Murphy had similar praise for Grande and told Entertainment Weekly that he was so keen to sign her up for the programme that he offered to work around her hectic tour schedule: "I met her and she had been a big fan of 'American Horror Story'. I pitched her the show, which she loved. We have to carve out amounts of time for her but I love her. She’s great and funny and she loves the genre of it. It’s the same thing with Nick Jonas. We work around their schedules."
