Ariana Grande on beauty: 'The standard is set way too high'

'Break Free' sensation Ariana Grande has revealed that people need to lower their expectations of beauty because it's horrible to constantly feel that you have to live up to these ridiculous ideals.

During a new interview with Access Hollywood, the songstress explained that women are held to such an unattainable standard of beauty and that kind of pressure is incredibly hard to thrive under:

"There's always so much focus on like physical beauty and there's this standard that's set so high nowadays of like what it means to be pretty or what's beautiful or like what type of body is in or out. You see it on the cover of all these magazines. It's like Kim Kardashian gained weight, I'm like, 'Good, she's pregnant! That's healthy, that's normal, she's making a child.'"

Grande, meanwhile, just unveiled her debut fragrance and confessed that it was a project she really enjoyed working on: "It smells really good altogether. It’s like in a clear bottle that kind of looks like a grenade with a white fluff ball on it. The inside is clear, so yeah, it’s like a feminine-looking bomb almost!”
