Ariana Grande on meeting her idol: 'I was really shy the whole time'

Songstress Ariana Grande has revealed that she was incredibly shy when she got to spend time with her idol, musician Imogen Heap.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the beauty confessed that she was concerned the invitation came from someone posing as Heap, but was relieved to discover she was wrong upon her arrival at the house. Grande admitted that she was so starstruck during their dinner that she was quite shy:

"She cooked for me, it was really nice. I forget what the meal was - the whole night was really a blur, I was really shy the whole time - I don't think I said anything. I was actually convinced that I had died and that was a dream."

As previously reported, Grande joked that she thought someone pretending to be Heap was 'Catfishing' her:

"She's incredible, she's a genius and I've loved her forever. There was an email that came in that was like, 'Hey, Imogen heard that Ariana has a concert in the UK and would like to have her over for dinner'. And I was like, 'Oh my god, this isn't real!'. And I was on my way to her house and it was a really long, long drive and eventually I thought I was being Catfished. I thought it wasn't going to happen.
