"Into You" songstress Ariana Grande is the latest artist to be added to the line-up of performers set to take the stage at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. 

The confirmation came last night in a dramatic reveal, which saw a flag bearing Grande's name being flown over New York's Hudson River. Tweeting about the exciting news earlier today (August 25), the beauty wrote: "#VMAs performance announced over the Hudson River tonight. Thank you @mtv."

She will be joined for her performance by collaborator Nicki Minaj and together they will run through "Side To Side", which features on her latest album "Dangerous Woman". 

Other performers include Britney Spears, Nick Jonas and Ty Dolla $ign, and the one and only Britney Spears. The 2016 MTV VMAs will take place on Sunday, August 28 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
