Singer Austin Mahone has revealed that he will give his fans a special surprise later this week on Thursday, September 25. 

Writing on his official Twitter page, the heartthrob explained that the treat is something that was 'shot on tour' although he didn't reveal any other information: "This thursday I got something special for you guys.. #MahomieApperciationDay We shot it on tour..."

The star returned to the social networking site earlier this afternoon and told his followers that today is the 2 year anniversary of his grandmother's death: "Today would be 2 years that my Mema had passed away. I miss her very much and still think about all the things she's taught me and said."

At just 18-years-old, Mahone is enjoying great success and recently told USA Today that he's concerned people see him as a 'one-hit wonder': 

"Whenever people see me, I'm a young dude and I sing, and I feel like they're just like, 'Oh, there's just another teen pop star. He's going to have a few songs.' But I want to be more than that. I want to grow, I want to challenge myself to be better and to be different. I want people to know I'm in it for the long run, so you better get used to me."
