Avicii cancels all 2015 shows: 'I want to experience normality'

Swedish DJ Avicii has cancelled all of his commitments for the rest of the year in order to focus on 'growing up in a normal way'.

The star issued a statement about his decision and confessed that it's important for him to take a significant break because he feels the need to focus on himself for a while:

"I look forward to keep being innovative with my team in leading a bigger change than just with my music (sic). In moving my tour promotional responsibilities to next year, I have a great opportunity to focus on myself and spend time trying to grow up in a way I never got the chance to - normal, or as normal as it could get."

"My team, label and family have encouraged me to do that and I realise not many in my position get that opportunity."

Avicii was scheduled to do live sets at Wynn hotel and casino's Encore Beach Club and XS nightclub in Vegas later this month, but he has now been replaced by the likes of Dillon Francis, Zedd, Diplo and Skrillex.
