Azealia Banks responds to Twitter suspension on Instagram

Azealia Banks has taken to Instagram to react to her Twitter suspension.

The rapper's account was banned this week after she delivered a series of racial slurs to Zayn Malik.

Some of her messages included: "When your entire extended family has been obliterated by good ol’ the U.S of A will you still be trying to... Act like a white boy pretending to be black?"

The tirade started after Banks accused a bemused Malik of copying her videos.

Speaking on Instagram, the rapper said on Thursday (May 12):

"Realise that I insulted Indians, Pakistani, black folk...and my Twitter didn't get suspended until I said 'whiteness is a mental illness' you guys need to pay the f*** attention to what is happening here."

She added that her Istanbul show this weekend is "still on".
