David Suchet announced as the narrator in Peter Pan Goes Wrong

This Christmas, David Suchet (The Bank Job, A Perfect Murder, Poirot) will guest star in the BBC Comedy Peter Pan Goes Wrong which will be filmed in front of a live audience in Pinewood Studios later this week.

David, soon to appear in BBC's Decline And Fall and Doctor Who, will be on-screen as the narrator who finds himself caught up in the mayhem.

In keeping with Mischief Theatre’s slapstick style, the premise of Peter Pan Goes Wrong is that the BBC has allowed the amateur dramatics group to put on a show as part of this year’s Christmas offering. What could possibly go wrong? As the The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society tries to recreate the J. M. Barrie classic, a series of onstage catastrophes and backstage blunders continue to occur.

David Suchet says: “I am delighted to be part of this brilliantly funny television production for all the family to enjoy this Christmas time.”

Shane Allen, Controller, Comedy Commissioning, adds: “This is a terrific endorsement for the show. David’s natural gravitas and sublime comic timing makes him the perfect narrator to play off against the unfolding shambles around him in this comedy tour de force.”

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is a BBC Studios comedy production commissioned by Shane Allen and executive produced by Stephen McCrum. The producer is Michelle Farr and director is Dewi Humphreys. Filming will take place at Pinewood Studios.
