Marvin Humes to join Emma Willis as co-host of The Voice UK on BBC One

JLS band member and Capital Radio DJ Marvin Humes will join presenter Emma Willis to host the third series of The Voice UK.

Marvin shot to fame when JLS were runners up on The X Factor in 2008. The band went on to achieve phenomenal success including 2 BRIT awards, several MOBO awards and numerous number ones, and earlier this year announced that their next tour and album would be their last. Marvin has recently presented This Morning with his wife Rochelle of The Saturdays, and currently hosts his own show on Capital Radio.

Marvin says: “I'm so excited to be a part of the new series of The Voice. I have always been a big fan of the show and love that musicians are given such a great opportunity to reach such a wide audience. I'm thrilled to be working alongside Emma and be part of a new team on The Voice. It's going to be even bigger and better with this new series. I can't wait to start.”

Mark Linsey, BBC Controller of Entertainment Commissioning, says: “It’s great to have Marvin on board and I think he and Emma will work really well together. He is perfectly placed to encourage the acts throughout the competition.”

Moira Ross, Head of Entertainment at Wall To Wall, says: “I am thrilled that Marvin will be joining The Voice UK to co-present the series alongside Emma. I think it could be the start of a lively presenting relationship and I can’t wait to get started.”

Charlotte Moore, Controller of BBC One, says: "Emma and Marvin make a fresh and dynamic presenting team for the new series, and Marvin’s JLS experience makes him well placed to relate to our artists."
