DI Sleet is back to solve more crimes against the world of celebrity in Successville

BBC Three, Shiny Button Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions are delighted to confirm the return of Tom Davis’ award-winning improvised comedy format, Murder in Successville.

The hugely popular series will see DI Sleet on a mission to solve more crimes against the world of celebrity in Successville, joined by new rookie recruits Professor Green, Lorraine Kelly, Martin Kemp, Reggie Yates and Richard Osman.

The comedy entertainment show is led by Tom Davis (BAFTA Breakthrough Brit 2016) who plays DI Sleet, a hapless yet loveable detective investigating a crime. Each episode a guest celebrity joins him to solve the crime, without a script to follow and no idea what awaits them. Familiar faces from the world of celebrity, from Beyoncé, Piers Morgan, Madonna and Arsene Wenger, are portrayed by a resident cast of British talent including Kerry Howard, Luke Kempner, Colin Hoult, Cariad Lloyd, Marie Lawrence, Tom Bennett and many more.

Tom Davis says: "I'm over the moon to be jumping in my Capri Ghia and heading back to Successville, it's time to serve up a justice burger with a side order of fun with five brand new sidekicks."

Damian Kavanagh, Controller, BBC Three says: “How exciting! I’m sure fans of this hit BBC Three show will be thrilled to hear that D.I Sleet is heading back to Successville with a new cohort of sidekicks to investigate more crimes.”

Pinki Chambers, BBC commissioning editor for the series says: “Expect much hilarity as our celebrities become rookie police officers and put their sleuthing skills to the test.”

Executive producer Andy Brereton says: "There is only one show on television where you get to see the queen of daytime telly gun down an alien or the lead singer of Spandau Ballet protect the streets of Victorian Successville. This series has some incredible treats in store, including Richard Osman and DI Sleet in one of the most sexually powerful scenes we’ve ever filmed.”

The series is commissioned by Damian Kavanagh, Controller, BBC Three and Pinki Chambers, commissioning editor for BBC Entertainment. Produced by Tiger Aspect, with executive producer Andy Brereton, series producer Avril Spary and director James De Frond.

Murder in Successville will return to BBC Three on 19 April 2017.
