Bastille return to the top of UK album chart with 'Bad Blood'

After enjoying a successful night at the BRIT Awards earlier this week, Bastille have yet another reason to celebrate as their album ‘Bad Blood’ is back at No. 1.

‘Bad Blood’ originally hit the top spot back in March 2013 and after the band’s presence at the BRIT Awards – where they won British Breakthrough Act and performed alongside Rudimental – Bastille’s debut studio LP has climbed nine places this week to reclaim the top spot.

Bastille are not the only ones who have benefitted from the exposure of the BRIT Awards.

Arctic Monkeys’ ‘AM’ – which won Best Album – has shot up ten places to No. 2. Disclosure’s ‘Settle’ has risen a hefty 29 places to No. 3.  Ellie Goulding’s ‘Halcyon’ has slipped two places but remains in the top five at No. 4. Rudimental round off the top five as ‘Home’ has shot up 14 places to No. 5.

New entries to this week’s album chart come from Scottish teen Nina Nesbitt with ‘Peroxide’ debuting at No. 11, New York act We Are In The Crowd at No. 24 with ‘Weird Kids’ and US country rockers Blackberry Smoke’s ‘The Whippoorwill’ at No. 30.
