Bastille on fame: 'We just thought we'd be some indie band'

'Pompeii' hitmakers Bastille have revealed that they never expected international fame because they always thought they would just be 'some indie band' who toured and put out records every now and again.

During a new interview with Digital Spy, the band admitted that they never expected 'Bad Blood' to be as well received as it has been so their success is something they're all really proud of. Frontman Dan Smith explained:

"I think with this album of ours, we loved it but our expectations weren't very high. We just thought we'd be some indie band, we never imagined that the things that have happened over the last couple of years would happen. Things have just grown and grown and grown way beyond our expectations."

"I guess we've just really tried to enjoy it and ride it a bit, and now that the album's come to a close again, just like before our first album was out, the future's a bit uncertain."
