Bastille on "Wild World" album: 'We require a lot of different influences'

"Good Grief" hitmakers Bastille have revealed that their new album "Wild World" is "very diverse" and they are proud to have stayed true to the things that influenced them.

Chatting to iHeartRadio about their highly anticipated new studio album, which is due to drop on September 9, the band admitted that it's an eclectic collection of songs and they're excited about it: "I think we just felt like the album is very diverse and we require a lot of different influences and sounds."

"Will plays a lot of guitar on the record and there is a lot of electronic stuff as well, and a lot of hip-hop star production as well, and then guitar music and anything and everything in between and this song just felt like a good way into it. There aren't really any other songs on the record that sound like this one, but I guess it's quite tricky to pick [the lead single. None of them really sound [alike].”

Member Chris Wood added: “It's quite funny when you put [the tracklist] together. The batch of songs as well. [We say] this one is absolutely guaranteed, so it will be on the album and some just end up coming through.”
